Alberto Díaz-Cayeros

Director

Dr. Díaz-Cayeros is an associate professor at the School of International Relations and Pacific Studies and director of USMEX. Previously, he was an assistant professor at Stanford University. In 1997, Professor Díaz-Cayeros received his Ph.D. in political science from Duke University. His research interests include poverty, development, federalism, clientelism, and patronage. He is currently working on a book manuscript entitled Strategies of Vote Buying: Social Transfers, Democracy and Welfare in Mexico.
