Support the Center for U.S.-Mexican Studies at UCSD
Dear Friends of the Center for U.S.-Mexican Studies,
I am delighted to report that the Center is more dynamic and active than ever. Aside from the Center’s ongoing activities, we are playing a key role in the development and implementation of UCSD’s Partnership with Mexico. The Center’s mission of contributing to a better understanding of the U.S. and Mexico through training, research and outreach has become even more important. As Director of the Center, I invite you to join us in our mission today by supporting the Center Innovation Fund.
What is the Center Innovation Fund? Contributions to the Center Innovation Fund help underwrite scholarships for Mexican participants in our Summer Seminar in U.S. Studies, support the Center’s International Contemporary Artist Series, and provide funds for our Distinguished Speaker Series (DSS). The DSS program features presenters who are high-level government officials, political figures, or experts on critical issues whom we consider to be especially dynamic and insightful.
The PDF pledge form (available here) suggest several levels of support, and you may choose to designate your contributions to a specific program. Individuals contributing $3000 or more to the Innovation Fund will be designated members of the Center Circle, and will be invited to a private dinner with each Distinguished Speaker following his or her public address. You may also donate online to the Center Innovation Fund.
Your contribution will help us leverage key, innovative opportunities as we train the Mexico leaders of tomorrow and position the Center for U.S.-Mexican Studies as the global leader in expertise on the Mexico and U.S.-Mexican relations. Please consider making an annual gift to the Center’s Innovation Fund.
Thank you in advance for your support, and I look forward to seeing you at a Center event in the near future.
Sincerely,
Chris Woodruff
Director
