Danny Zborover is a Visiting Scholar at the Center for U.S.-Mexican Studies. He is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Archaeology at the University of Calgary. He is the Director of the Chontalpa Historical Archaeology Project that studied the rich archaeological, historical, and ethnographic records of the Chontal Highlands of Oaxaca, Mexico and analyzes interregional interactions spheres of that region during the Late Postclassic and Early Colonial periods. He participated in other archaeological projects in Oaxaca, Chihuahua, and Campeche, and recently co-directed the Cotsen Institute’s ethnohistorical archaeology field school in Mexico.
