Expertise
Ernesto Aguayo is an empirical economist focused on regional and development economics as well as labor economics in Mexico. His research includes different areas of the economic field form both micro and macro levels. He studies the effects of trade liberalization and several domestic reforms on the development of the different regions of Mexico, on the change in migration flows from the rural to the urban areas of Mexico and on the closing of the wage gender gap in Mexico during the 1990s.
