Duval has several unpublished manuscripts that focus on earnings mobility in Mexico, among which are "Dynamics of Labor Market Earnings in Urban Mexico, 1987-2002" and "Earnings Mobility in Argentina, Mexico, and Venezuela: Testing the Divergence of Earnings and the Symmetry of Mobility Hypotheses” (with Gary Fields, Maria Laura Sánchez Puerta, and Samuel Freije). Academic Background
Robert Duval earned his BA degree in Economics from the Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas (CIDE) at Mexico City in 1998. Before starting his doctoral studies, Duval worked at CIDE as editorial assistant for the journal Economía Mexicana, and at the World Bank, Mexico Office as a Consultant. In January 2006 he obtained his Ph.D. degree in Economics from Cornell University. He currently teaches the undergraduate courses “Economics of Immigration” and “Economics of Mexico” for the Department of Economics at UCSD.
