Distinguished Speaker Series and the Center Circle
The Center Circle is a new opportunity for donors who value the Center for U.S.-Mexican Studies’ Distinguished Speaker Series. This series is a program designed to bring San Diego community leaders and the Center closer through forums on Mexico issues and current events; the series continues to evolve and break new ground as one of the premier speaker's series at UCSD. This year the series features a strong schedule of presenters who are high-level government officials, political figures, and experts on critical issues whom we consider to be especially dynamic and insightful. These include: Roger Noriega, Assistant Secretary of State, Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs
for the U.S. Department of State; Víctor Lichtinger, Mexico's Secretariat of the Environment and Natural Resources; Adolfo Aguilar Zinser, former Mexican Ambassador to the United Nations; Francisco Gil Díaz, Mexico’s Secretary of the Treasury.
Contributions to the Center Circle will help the Center for U.S.-Mexican Studies leverage innovative opportunities as we train Mexican leaders of tomorrow and position the Center for U.S.-Mexican Studies as the global leader in expertise on Mexico and U.S.-Mexican relations. If you are interested to make an annual gift to the Center Circle, contact Graciela Platero, the Center’s Director of External Affairs, at (858) 534-6066 or via e-mail at gplatero@ucsd.edu.
