Maritza Caicedo Riasocos, sociologist, is currently enrolled at the Universidad del Valle in Cali, Colombia. She recieved her M.A. in Demography from the Colegio de la Frontera Norte in Mexico, and is at present completing the final stages of her doctoral thesis in population studies at El Colegio de México. For her dissertation, Ms. Riacoso is developing her doctoral thesis titled "Employment conditions of Latin American and Caribbean Immigrantsin the United States". Her areas of specialization include gender studies, international migration and labor markets.
