Directions to the Center for U.S.-Mexican Studies, UCSD

  • From Interstate 5, exit on Genesee Avenue, westbound.


  • Turn left on North Torrey Pines Road.


  • Turn left on Pangea Drive into the UCSD campus.


  • Turn left into the Pangea Parking Structure and proceed to metered parking spots on top level (The cost is 25 cents for 15 minutes). As an alternative, you may purchase an all-day parking pass for $6.00 at the information kiosk on Northpoint Drive located .5 miles north of Pangea Drive.


  • Walk out of the Pangea Parking Structure toward Pangea Drive.


  • Turn left and walk east up Pangea Drive past the stop sign on North Scholars Drive.


  • Turn left on the first street (International Lane).


  • Continue past the Graduate School of International Relations and Pacific Studies (IRPS) until you find the Institute of the Americas complex on your right-hand side (three white buildings with red-tiled roofs situated around a plaza with a fountain in the middle). The Center for U.S.-Mexican Studies is on the ground floor in the two-story building on the east side of the plaza. The Weaver Center is next door to the Center for U.S.-Mexican Studies. The Copley Conference Center (which houses Hojel Auditorium and the Deutz Seminar Room) is on the south side of the plaza. The Gildred Latin American Studies Building is on the north side of the plaza.
