The six-week online USPI Summer Seminar focuses on U.S. institutions and decision-making processes, border dynamics and U.S.-Mexico relations. Over the course of 14 days of sessions and site visits on campus, participants will gain a better understanding of U.S. domestic and foreign policy, including the complexity of the policymaking process as it relates to the U.S. and its effects on Mexico.
The 2026 call for applications is open! The Summer 2026 edition of the program will take place virtually from July 15 to July 31, with an optional in-person component at UC San Diego from August 3 to August 7. The virtual seminar is offered at no cost to selected participants. The in-person component is also offered at no cost; however, participants are responsible for covering their own travel, lodging, and meal expenses.
